Do you still need to file your 2024 tax returns, you may qualify from penalty relief.
If you lived or operated a business in Tennessee, you may be eligible for federal tax relief due to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on April 2, 2025.
Thanks to a FEMA disaster declaration, the IRS has extended key tax deadlines to November 3, 2025 for impacted individuals and businesses.

Individual income tax filings and payments (including 2024 contributions to IRAs and HSAs)
Quarterly estimated taxes due April 15, June 16, and September 15

Business and corporate filings, including partnerships, S corps, and fiduciaries
Tax-exempt organizations returns due May 15
Penalty relief for payroll/excise deposits due April 2–April 17 (if paid by April 17)
Casualty Loss Deductions
You can deduct disaster-related personal property losses on either your 2024 or 2025 return. Be sure to include FEMA Disaster Number 3625-EM on the form.

Relief for retirement plans/IRA withdrawals under the SECURE 2.0 Act
Penalty abatement for those outside the area but impacted by it
